Electric vehicles can generate data that can be used by planners to reconfigure streets and parking, smart ev is the beginning of major change. This can be giving roadway real estate over to bicycle lanes , pedestrian walkways and green spaces.
We are a dedicated Electric Vehicle charge point installer covering Essex and Kent, All of our installers are 18th edition qualified (mandatory) and fully certificated. We as a company are goldmembership Napit approved. We also carry a £10,000,000 public liability cover.
Extensions to Workplace Charging Scheme:
Charities and small accommodation businesses may now apply to the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) from 1st April 2022 to support provision of chargepoints for their guests or visitors. The WCS will continue for all businesses, helping them provide chargepoints for their staff and fleets.
EV grants for homes that will replace the current EVHS:
Reformed schemes to help accelerate the provision of EV chargepoints in flats and rental accommodation will go live from the 1st of April. This will now be called the EV Chargepoint Grant for flat owner-occupiers and people living in rented properties, to reflect its change in scope and will be available from April 1st, 2022.
The EV Chargepoint Grant for landlords, allowing them to apply for grants, will be available for landlord registration from 1st April 2022 and for installers to submit grant claims from 1st May 2022. Please note that there is an additional step required for this grant. Customers must register so that they can be verified to qualify for the grant. Once registered, EVHS approved installers may then apply for grants for work completed under this scheme, as they currently do for EVHS.

From start to finish I couldn't have asked for more. The service was first class from everyone I came in contact with starting with Jade who made the booking, Frankie who came round and did the initial site visit and finally Greg, the engineer who came to install the charger who was super efficient, polite and professional. Couldnt recommend VCI highly enough.
From start to finish the guys were great. Jade in the office was very efficient and Frankie who did the install was spot on and even went above and beyond to make sure I was happy the charger worked perfectly with my existing solar set up. Highly recommend!

We engaged VCI to install an EV point at our bungalow, and a thorough inspection by the most professional of installers highlighted certain electrical issues beyond which the installation could not proceed. Despite being stopped from doing the installation, the installers wrote a thorough report and spent all the time necessary to impart that knowledge to us. Their approach was first rate and I would not hesitate in engaging this company for its considerate and professional service.
Our new charging point caused considerably more work than anticipated and the engineers who came out explained everything thoroughly and braved the horrible weather to take a cable right round the house. I was amazed and delighted that the only cost in addition to the estimate was for the extra length of cabling. Thank you to the team who turned up on time, and did an excellent, tidy job. From my initial enquiry to the end of my installation the team were helpful, enthusiastic and hard working. They helped me through the decision process as to which Charger would suit my needs and also upgraded my 1950's Electrical Supply and Fuse Board with a sleek new Consumer Unit with some extra space in it for the future. The installation wasn't a straightforward one, but the installation team took it in their stride, overcame every hurdle that was encountered and did an amazing professional job. Very efficient and competent installers. Even though it wasn't possible to completely hide cable from distribution box to outside wall, very neatly concealed in trunking which really isn't that noticeable. Helped download phone app to control the charger and explained how it all works. Good job.
Residing in a block of flats gave the installers a more unusual installation. However the lads were on time, courteous, knowledgeable, tidy and carried out the job efficiently. Based upon the installation so far I would definitely recommend this company. Also got a grant towards installation with the help of the office staff.
First class installation of a MyZappi EV Charger. Integrated into my solar panels too! Comes with a great app so you can see consumption (EV charger and house) and solar panel generation and export. Recommended!

I will be recommending VCI to all my friends who are getting hybrid and electric cars. I had contacted other online companies who quoted me over the internet an ‘expected standard installation’. Very easy process from obtaining a quote to have my EV charger installed. All lovely people and very capable technician (Frankie) who installed my wall charger to my preferences and got it all tested and set up before leaving. We’re extremely pleased with the service provided by VCI. They clearly take a great deal of pride in the work that they do and the end result of our installation looks great. They also really went above and beyond to resolve a supplier problem and get our charger installed on time.
The installation was a complex one with the need for power to be drawn from a consumer unit in the middle of the house and cables to be routed through the house to the external wall to the rear. The job was done in such a way that there was no damage to the house and the cable run was hidden throughout. The installers were highly competent and very pleasant. The installation was completed within on week of my original enquiry and the price I paid was precisely in accordance with the quote.
